DPGA conducted the fire safety drill for its students and staff today. Mr Abhishek Parab, the chief fire officer led the school members through a series of examples which included dousing, preventing, segregation, evacuation and the like. Our student Sharva was taken on the shoulders of a fireman upon the ladder for demonstration. While our ancillary staff practised similar demonstrations, the other demonstrations included evacuation, where the entire building was evacuated within 4 minutes and emergency lights, alarms and extinguishers were used effectively. Fire extinguishers, hose pipes and all the fire related areas were inspected on 5th February, 2020 for smooth functionality.

This drill and demonstration was followed by a PowerPoint presentation by Mr. Parab and his team and further information was shared in detail.

Dr. Sharda Sharma felicitated the officers and urged the students to share the information they gathered with people around them towards further safety. She also informed the officers that apart from some stationery donations to the fire department the school will continue the yoga and meditation sessions for the fire station officers on alternative Saturdays.

This fire mock drill was conducted as a part of preparedness and spreading awareness for disaster safety in the school.
