International Yoga Day 2021

Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that helps in boosting one’s mental and social well-being. The international Yoga Day theme 2022 is ‘Yoga for Humanity’ which promotes the holistic route to health while taking into consideration the fact that the last few years have caused significant mental, physical and emotional strife to individuals all over the world and that there is a greater need for inculcating better health practices in our day to day life through Yoga.

This year on June 21st International Yoga day was celebrated in our school DPGA Gorai. An extremely informative speech about the importance of yoga was given by our Deputy CEO Dr. Sharda Sharma, where students were enlightened about the summer solstice an the significance of this important day.

Students of early years, primary and secondary performed various Asanas like Tadasana, Konasana, veerbhadrasana, suryanamaskar and Meditation under the excellent guidance of our sports teachers & other subject teachers. IB students took the initiative to organize the entire event through the Sports Club and their IB CAS Project. They performed the Asanas along with the sports teachers and helped the younger students in performing the asanas.
